The following are the rules that students must adhere to during lessons

  1. Students must exhibit respect towards the diverse cultural, intellectual, and religious backgrounds of their instructors and peers. Discussions on sensitive subjects, such as politics and religion, should be strictly avoided.
  2. A conducive study environment that fosters concentration is essential; therefore, students are expected to create a quiet space for their lessons.
  3. The use of English exclusively during instructional time is mandatory for all students.
  4. Students are required to possess the necessary technology for online learning, which includes a stable internet connection of at least 2 Mbps, a computer, a camera, headphones, and a microphone.
  5. Attendance will be documented hourly, and this record will significantly contribute to the overall evaluation of each student’s performance.
  6. Students are obliged to keep their cameras and microphones activated throughout quizzes; failure to do so will result in a score of zero.
  7. Should a student join the session more than ten minutes after it has begun, they will be marked late; arriving after 15 minutes will result in an absence.
  8. Female students may wear a veil or mask during quizzes, respecting their personal and cultural choices.
  9. Extra marks may be awarded for maintaining an active video presence during lessons; therefore, students are encouraged to keep their cameras on.
  10. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they handwrite their exercise answers on paper, adhering to the instructions outlined in the workbook. Any negligence in this regard will not be the responsibility of the administration or faculty.
  11. All deadlines for assignment submissions, as established by the instructor, must be strictly followed.
  12. Students who exceed 20% in class absences or fail to achieve a minimum score of 70% will be deemed to have failed the course.
  13. Lessons throughout the term will consist of live sessions conducted via Zoom, and these will not be recorded or available for later playback.
  14. Students are prohibited from consuming food, Qat, or beverages during lessons, as well as engaging in any activities that may distract from academic focus.
  15. Group assignments are randomized; consequently, students do not have the option to select their instructors or classmates. The administration retains the authority to reassign students to different groups as deemed necessary.
  16. If a student is absent for three or more consecutive sessions, their academic level will be subject to reassessment.
  17. Adherence to scheduled tests is required; rescheduling will not be permitted.
  18. Once the academic term commences, students are not allowed to freeze or alter their enrollment dates.
  19. Students are encouraged to remain fully engaged and focused during class time, minimizing any potential distractions.
